1. Acceptance of terms

By installing or using the Tame Tabs Chrome extension ("Extension") or accessing the Tame Tabs website at tametabs.com ("Website"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Extension or Website.

2. Description of service

Tame Tabs is a Chrome browser extension that allows you to organize your browser tabs into workspaces. The Extension stores all data locally on your device. The Website provides product information, a support contact form, and Pro license purchasing.

3. Free and Pro tiers

Tame Tabs offers a free tier that includes up to 10 workspaces with full functionality. The Pro tier removes the workspace limit and is available for $5 per year, billed annually through Stripe.

4. License keys

Upon purchasing a Pro subscription, you will receive a license key. This key is personal to your subscription and may be used on multiple devices. You are responsible for keeping your license key secure. If you lose your key, you can request it through our support page.

License keys are validated periodically by contacting our server. If your subscription expires or is cancelled, your license key will be deactivated and the Extension will revert to the free tier limits.

5. Payment and billing

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your payment information. Subscriptions renew automatically each year. You may cancel your subscription at any time through Stripe's customer portal or by contacting us through our support page.

Upon cancellation, your Pro features will remain active until the end of your current billing period. After that, the Extension will revert to the free tier. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods, but we may offer refunds at our discretion if requested within 30 days of purchase.

6. Your data

All tab and workspace data is stored locally on your device. We do not have access to your browsing data, tab contents, or any personal information stored by the Extension. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for complete details.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Extension
• Share, redistribute, or resell license keys
• Attempt to circumvent the license validation system
• Use the Extension for any unlawful purpose
• Abuse our support or contact systems

8. Intellectual property

The Tame Tabs Extension, Website, branding, and all associated content are the intellectual property of Tame Tabs. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Extension in accordance with these Terms.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The Extension and Website are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Extension will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. You use the Extension at your own risk.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tame Tabs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Extension or Website.

In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount you paid for the Pro subscription in the twelve months preceding the claim.

11. Changes to the Extension

We reserve the right to modify, update, or discontinue the Extension or any of its features at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Extension or Website after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
